A Gore Filmes é uma produtora cinematográfica fundada em 2004 pelo cineasta Dácio Pinheiro, diretor do premiado documentário Meu Amigo Claudia (2009). O longa estreou no Castro Theatre durante o 33º Frameline – San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival e recebeu o Prêmio do Público de Melhor Documentário no 14º LesGaiCineMad, em Madri, e no 17º Festival Mix Brasil.

Em 2019, a empresa coproduziu o documentário de arte The Forgotten Treasure, uma coprodução Alemanha/Brasil dirigida por Tom Ehrhardt. O projeto participou do Documentary Campus Master School, recebeu o Gerd Ruge Stipendium, da Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, e apoio da Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Thüringen. O longa estreou no 38º FIFA – Festival International du Film sur l’Art, em Montreal, participou do 7º BIFF – Brasília International Film Festival, foi exibido pelo canal alemão MDR e prepara sua estreia no SescTV.

No mesmo ano, a Gore Filmes produziu EletrônicaMentes (2019), documentário dirigido por Dácio Pinheiro, realizado com apoio da Spcine e do ProAC. O longa estreou no 11º In-Edit Brasil – Festival Internacional do Documentário Musical e participou da competição do 17º IndieLisboa, em Portugal, entre outros festivais.

Em 2022, a produtora finalizou o curta-metragem de ficção O Aniversário do Seu Lair, exibido em mais de 30 festivais e vencedor de mais de 10 prêmios. O filme integrou o 22º TOHorror Fantastic Film Fest, em Turim, o 50º Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Vilagarcía de Arousa, na Espanha, o Mórbido Film Fest, no México, e o Cine Phenomena, em São Paulo, além de receber o prêmio de Melhor Curta pelo público no Hell de Janeiro. O curta também foi exibido pelo Canal Brasil e pelo SescTV.

Em 2023, produziu o curta SPITI, lançado no 33º Kinoforum – Festival Internacional de Curtas de São Paulo, e o documentário Lenita, que recupera a história de uma fotógrafa de moda brasileira cuja trajetória permaneceu esquecida por décadas. O filme estreou na 47ª Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo e posteriormente circulou por festivais no Brasil e no exterior. Lenita está disponível no Canal Brasil e no streaming do canal pelo Prime Video.

Em 2026, a Gore Filmes lançou o documentário Universo Circular – Jocy de Oliveira, dirigido por Dácio Pinheiro. O filme teve sua estreia mundial na competição do 23º IndieLisboa, em Portugal, e recebeu o Prêmio do Júri de Melhor Filme da Competição Internacional do 18º In-Edit Brasil. Também participou da competição da 21ª CineOP – Mostra de Cinema de Ouro Preto, recebeu Menção Honrosa no FID e integrou a competição do 12º Santos Film Fest. Sua circulação internacional segue em 2026, com exibições confirmadas no Sinema Transtopia, em Berlim, no Festival Semibreve, em Braga, e no In-Edit Barcelona.

Atualmente, a produtora prepara o lançamento do documentário Excursão Artística Villa-Lobos, uma coprodução com o Canal Curta! que recupera a história da excursão realizada por Heitor Villa-Lobos, em 1931, por cidades do interior de São Paulo, a bordo de um trem. Paralelamente, desenvolve novos projetos, entre eles os longas de ficção Flor do Asfalto e A Lei dos Trópicos e os documentários Tropical Punk, Se a Lua Contasse e Exótica.

Ao longo de mais de duas décadas, as produções da Gore Filmes participaram de festivais e mostras no Brasil e no exterior, entre eles Mostra Internacional de Cinema de São Paulo, Frameline, IndieLisboa, In-Edit Brasil, Festival Mix Brasil, NewFest – New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival, MIX NYC, Inside Out Toronto, Guadalajara International Film Festival, Curta Cinema, Kinoforum, CineOP, FID, FIFA – Festival International du Film sur l’Art, LesGaiCineMad e Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre. A produtora também participou de importantes mercados e encontros internacionais do setor audiovisual, entre eles Avant Première, European Film Market (EFM) da Berlinale, DocPoland, DOCSP e Ventana Sur.

Gore Filmes is a film production company founded in 2004 by filmmaker Dácio Pinheiro, director of the award-winning documentary My Buddy Claudia (2009). The film premiered at the Castro Theatre during the 33rd Frameline – San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival and received the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the 14th LesGaiCineMad in Madrid and the 17th Mix Brasil Festival.

In 2019, the company co-produced the art documentary The Forgotten Treasure, a German-Brazilian co-production directed by Tom Ehrhardt. The project took part in the Documentary Campus Master School, received the Gerd Ruge Stipendium from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, and was supported by the Kulturstiftung des Freistaates Thüringen. The film premiered at the 38th FIFA – Festival International du Film sur l’Art in Montreal, participated in the 7th BIFF – Brasília International Film Festival, was broadcast by German channel MDR, and is now preparing for its premiere on SescTV in Brazil.

That same year, Gore Filmes produced EletrônicaMentes (2019), a documentary directed by Dácio Pinheiro and supported by Spcine and ProAC. The film premiered at the 11th In-Edit Brasil – International Music Documentary Film Festival and participated in the competition at the 17th IndieLisboa in Portugal, among other festivals.

In 2022, the company completed the fiction short film Lair's Birthday, which was screened at more than 30 festivals and received over 10 awards. The film participated in the 22nd TOHorror Fantastic Film Fest in Turin, the 50th Festival Internacional de Cine Fantástico de Vilagarcía de Arousa in Spain, Mórbido Film Fest in Mexico, and Cine Phenomena in São Paulo, and received the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the Hell de Janeiro Festival. The short was also broadcast on Canal Brasil and SescTV.

In 2023, Gore Filmes produced the short film SPITI, which premiered at the 33rd Kinoforum – São Paulo International Short Film Festival, and the documentary Lenita - Traces of a Lady, which recovers the story of a Brazilian fashion photographer whose career remained largely forgotten for decades. The film premiered at the 47th São Paulo International Film Festival and subsequently screened at festivals in Brazil and abroad. Lenita is currently available on Canal Brasil and through the channel’s streaming service on Prime Video.

In 2026, Gore Filmes released the documentary The Circular Universe – Jocy de Oliveira, directed by Dácio Pinheiro. The film had its world premiere in competition at the 23rd IndieLisboa in Portugal and received the Jury Award for Best Film in the International Competition at the 18th In-Edit Brasil. It also competed at the 21st CineOP – Ouro Preto Film Festival, received an Honorable Mention at FID, and participated in the competition at the 12th Santos Film Fest. Its international circulation continues throughout 2026, with screenings confirmed at Sinema Transtopia in Berlin, Semibreve Festival in Braga, and In-Edit Barcelona.

The company is currently preparing the release of the documentary Villa-Lobos Caravan, a co-production with Canal Curta! that revisits the story of the tour undertaken by Heitor Villa-Lobos in 1931 through cities in the state of São Paulo, traveling by train. At the same time, Gore Filmes is developing new projects, including the fiction feature films Asphalt Flower and The Law of the Tropics, and the documentaries Tropical Punk, If the Moon Could Tell, and Exótica.

Over more than two decades, Gore Filmes productions have participated in festivals and showcases in Brazil and abroad, including the São Paulo International Film Festival, Frameline, IndieLisboa, In-Edit Brasil, Mix Brasil Festival, NewFest – New York LGBTQ+ Film Festival, MIX NYC, Inside Out Toronto, Guadalajara International Film Festival, Curta Cinema, Kinoforum, CineOP, FID, FIFA – Festival International du Film sur l’Art, LesGaiCineMad, and Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre. The company has also participated in major international audiovisual markets and industry events, including Avant Première, the Berlinale’s European Film Market (EFM), DocPoland, DOCSP, and Ventana Sur.
